Four things that speed it up

None of this is required, but each one gets you a real answer instead of a question:

1. What the door is doing. Will not lift, reverses, grinding, hanging crooked, dead silent. The symptom narrows the part.
2. Single or double. Weight decides the spring, so this is the one detail that lets us carry the right part on the first visit.
3. Whether you can lift it by hand. Pull the red release cord and try. Heavy or stuck means the door or the springs. Light and smooth means the opener.
4. Any bang you heard. A loud crack from the garage is almost always a spring, and that tells us what to bring before we set off.

Before you call, one safety note

If a spring has broken, do not keep pressing the opener. The motor is dragging a door it was never built to lift, and every attempt risks a stripped gear, a bent track or a snapped cable on top of the spring you already need.
