About us

We fix garage doors in Cape Coral. That is the whole business.

Why salt air is hard on hardware, how a visit runs, and the things we will not do.

One trade, one county, one truck full of parts

Cape Coral Garage Door Repairs fixes garage doors and the openers that move them. Springs, cables, rollers, tracks, panels, sensors, logic boards, and new doors when the old one is past saving. That is the list.

The reason it matters is stock. A company that does garage doors alongside four other trades carries a bit of everything and the right part for nothing. We carry springs in the common sizes, cables, rollers, sensors and opener gear kits on every truck, which is why most repairs finish in the visit they started in instead of becoming a second appointment next week.

The person who shows up

This is a small, owner-run outfit, not a dispatch center. The owner earned a Florida certified residential contractor license back in 2004, has called Cape Coral home since the late 1990s, and still takes service calls personally. The company itself has worked out of the same Cape Coral base since 2012.

Every service call starts with a 16-point check: springs, cables, rollers, hinges, tracks, the opener and the safety reverse. You see what is worn and what is fine. If the door can be repaired, we repair it; a full replacement only comes up when the door is truly done, and nobody leans on you to buy one.

Evening or Saturday, the rate is the same. There is no overtime surcharge.

Why Cape Coral is hard on garage doors

Three things here shorten the life of hardware that would last a decade elsewhere.

Salt. With 400 miles of canals, a great many Cape garages sit within a few hundred yards of brackish water. Salt-laden air corrodes springs from the inside, pits cables, seizes rollers and eats opener rails. A spring that gives twelve years in Lehigh Acres can go at seven here.

Humidity and heat. An uninsulated west-facing door bakes every afternoon. Weather seals harden and split, lubricant cooks off the hinges and the bottom rubber stops sealing, which is how water and lizards get in.

Storm season. A garage door is the biggest opening in the building. When one fails in high wind the pressure that gets inside pushes up on the roof structure from underneath. That is why Florida treats these as structural and why a replacement needs a wind-rated door and a permit.

The spring is the part people underestimate

Most of what we do comes back to springs, because the springs carry the door's weight. The opener only guides it. A 16-foot insulated double can weigh 350 pounds, and that load sits on two springs wound under enormous tension.

It is also the one repair that genuinely hurts people who attempt it. Winding bars, not screwdrivers, and the right bar length for the cone. We would rather say that plainly than have someone find out from a video.

How a visit runs

You get an arrival window, not a day

"Sometime Tuesday" is not a plan. You get a window that fits your day, and a text when the technician is actually on the way.

Diagnosis before price

The technician works out what failed, shows you, and gives a fixed figure in writing. You approve it before any tool comes out.

The price does not move

Whatever you approved is what you pay. If something else surfaces mid-job, such as a bent bracket hidden behind a panel, work stops and you are asked. It never lands on the invoice as a surprise.

Tested with you before we leave

Door balance checked with the opener disconnected, auto-reverse tested against an obstruction, and the whole thing run a few cycles while you watch.

Things we will not do

  • Quote a spring over the phone without the door's size. Weight decides the spring. Anyone quoting blind is either guessing or planning to "find" something on arrival.
  • Replace one spring of a pair. They have done identical work. Changing one means a second service call within months.
  • Sell a new opener when a $40 part fixes it. We will tell you when an opener is genuinely finished, and when it has years left.
  • Leave an opener with no safety sensors in service. Units made before 1993 predate the requirement. That one is not negotiable.
  • Fit a non-rated door and call it compliant. It fails at permit, and worse, it fails in a storm.

Who calls us

  • Someone whose spring just went this morning and whose car is shut in. Most of our day.
  • Owners of 2000s-build homes whose original springs have all reached end of life around the same time.
  • Snowbirds coming back to a door that sat unused for six months and now grinds.
  • People who were quoted $89 by an ad and then handed a bill for $600.
  • Anyone selling a house where the inspector flagged the auto-reverse.

About the company

Anything else, call (239) 933-6721.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. We work under Florida license CRC1326717 and carry general liability and workers' compensation. Ask and the certificates are sent before anyone arrives.

Do you only do garage doors?

Only garage doors and openers. We are not a handyman service with a ladder, which is the whole reason the right spring is usually already on the truck.

Is it the same technician each time?

On a repeat visit we send whoever worked on your door last wherever we can. They already know which spring is on it and what we replaced.

What if the repair does not hold?

Call the same number. Springs and repairs carry our workmanship warranty, and we come back out. There is no call center in between.
